Tip of the Week

Photographs help revive the stories of our lives and keep them more vivid. Most of us have gone through an old photo album and said, “Oh, my! I had forgotten about that!” Have you thought of how you could use your pictorial files for other projects? Framed photos make lovely presents for family members. A collection of family photos and the list of birthdays and anniversaries can be organized into a family calendar that no one wants to discard at the end of the year. College students find that family photos in decorative trims dress up the bulletin boards in their college abodes and make them more welcoming. Family photos can be used to illustrate an essay for English class. When asked in a college application from a highly selective school to tell about herself, one student used her personal photos to create a collage of her activities and interests. She was accepted.
